It is not always possible for us to install better locks or a door alarm system into our home. This could be because we live in an apartment and the landlord won’t pay for one and won‘t allow us to install one. Or it could be that they are so expensive that we can’t afford to pay out the money that it requires. No matter what the reason may be there is a safe alternative you can use – a door guard.
These door guards are simple and effective at keeping people out of your home when you are sleeping. From a distance they look like walking sticks that have been propped up against the door. But when you get a closer look you will see how it is not locking the door in much the same way that we would lock the steering wheel of a car.

It is built with a 120 decibel siren that is motion sensitive – but it will only work when you have turned it on. They are designed to fit most types of door handles for both commercial and foreign handle heights and cost anywhere between $15 to $40. The only downside to using these for your home is that they do not provide your home with security when you are not inside of the home.
