Entry Door Security Systems

When protecting your home, from being another statistic in the rise in home invasions, the first thing that you need to do is protect the entry  door to your home with security measures. One of the best places to start is by changing out or adding new locks to the front and back doors. These locks need to be thick, durable, and proven to keep burglars from being able to pick them or break them. For something a bit more basic and easier for you and your  children to use, you can simply purchase a lock jaw security lock for  your  door.

Lock Jaw Locks

For something a bit more basic and easier for you and your children to use, you can simply purchase a lock jaw security lock for your door. These single cylinder deadbolts have been manufactured and proven to be impossible for burglars to pick them or use a bump key to force them open. A bump key is a specially made key that is designed to fit any type of locks, until now. These entry door security systems are made with high grade alloy, polished titanium brass plating, and a protected sealant.

They are easy to install and can be portable or permanent. For portable usage you can use double side tape to attach it to the door. For permanent usage you can use screws that will secure it to the door. Unlike most locks used in homes these do not require a locksmith and can cost as low as $20.

Security Latch Strike

Sometimes when trying to protect our home we only need to reinforce the door. Security latch strikes help to strengthen and repair wood jambs as well as to reinforce them and improve the security in your home. These are very basic looking and made using brass plated steel. They protect your home by preventing burglars from kicking in the door. They cost as little as $10 – but we would suggest using them with a security door lock.

Keyless Entry

If you want something more high tech then you need a keyless entry door lock system. These are usually used at a variety of large businesses who need to provide more security in order to keep the wrong people out. These will replace the knobs on both sides of the door. The moment it closes it will engage the lock – which requires a specific code to unlock and allow entrance.

Each one that you purchase will come with a master key – which is used to help reset and create new codes when needed. There is usually one or two that comes with it and each has been specially made so that no one can duplicate it. These will cost anywhere between $60 to $300.

It does not require any type of batteries or external power source in order to operate. Instead it uses special hardware that must be installed. You can purchase a professional locksmith to install it for you or you can follow the instructions and operational guide that it comes with. These are all weather, heavy duty and commercial grade locks that are completely mechanical and provide maximum security for your home or business.
