Door Alarm Systems

One of the first things that we think to use to protect our homes are alarm systems – which can be hooked up to each door in the home including the garage door. These systems use sensors that will sound off a beep or other similar noise to alert you when it is being opened. When you have turn the alarm on when leaving the home or going to sleep it will be triggered and sound off a loud noise when they have been opened.

There are two ways in which you can purchase and install a door alarm system into your home. The first is to purchase door alarm at any home department store. These will cost you anywhere between $10 to $50 depending on the level of security that you are looking for. You can easily install these onto each door in your home following the necessary instructions.

The other is to purchase an alarm system through a home security company like ADT or Brinks. The company will save you time by sending someone out who will install the system into your home. This can cost you around $50 for the installation, $200 or more for the system, and $30 to $50 each month for the service.

Though it is quite a bit more expensive one of the biggest advantages to purchasing this is the ability to use the panic button. This will immediately alert the company that you are in trouble and they will call the police, ambulance, or fire department for you.
